Because Jumpsuits Were Meant for Kicking

January 25th, 2010

Oh, the questions I find myself asking … like, for example, why are jumpsuits called jumpsuits?

I think they’d be much cooler if they were called kicksuits. I suppose the whole idea behind the name “jump” is that you can freely jump without, um, freeing the air between your legs … if you know what mean.

But I’m not trying to be crass. Just real! And the reality is that jumpsuits are much better suited to kicking.

See evidence below. Yeah, I told ya so.

THE LOOK: Jump, Jump, Jump! [anyone know what vintage tune I’m referring to?]

THE [KICK!]Suit: Jellyroll Vintage, bought at the Brooklyn Flea winter ‘08

THE EARRINGS: Primark, London

THE FISHNETS: Marshals

THE SHOES: Gift from my girl @ A New Mode

Kicksuit Look #1: Straight and skinny. Sort of like a Popsicle. Yum.

Kicksuit look #2: Looks just like the once-but-oh-so-fleeting-popular harem pants, no?

I’m about to kick here. And I’m really, really excited.

Aaaaanndddd….. ACTION!

I added a punch. Should I audition for the next season of Power Rangers, while I’m at it?
