Sometimes there are color combinations that you know just WORK on you.
They don’t have to work on anyone else. I mean, they can … but they work in a different way. Not YOUR way. And YOUR way doesn’t work like THEIR way. Get it? Good.
Anyway, my point here: Red & Black looks amazing on me. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s the blue eyes, or the fact that red is one of those feminine, I-want-to-make-out-with-you-right-now colors.
But beyond just being a sexually electric color of the rainbow, red works even better when paired with black. I remember wearing the color combo for my junior year prom. I went goth [it’s true!] with my then-Marilyn-Manson-obsessing-boyfriend. So, the red/black/goth/pre-Twilight-dark-obsession worked pretty dang well.
Now, I wear red & black [with a touch of booty] because it makes me feel powerful. With this color palette on my body, combined with some tight fabrics, fishnets, and the signature turban [yeah, I said it] … I feel like I can conquer the world.
Or at least 125th Street, Harlem U.S.A.
