Pretty in Pink: Anna Bassham of Shoe Hunting Visits the SDV Showroom!

by Sammy 6 Comments

It’s not everyday that you have a revered shoe blogger visit your showroom — but for little ole’ me, yesterday was that day!

Shoe Hunting is every shoe lovers’ [OMG SHOES!] digital best friend. And quite literally, too, since the site is set up as an online community where you and other footwear aficionados can discover, digest, and delight in the hundreds of shoes that are listed.

Anna runs the community aspect of Shoe Hunting — and when not already working with shoes, she’s blogging about them on her own site Shoe Smitten. What a cute name!

But what’s even cuter is Anna wearing tons, and tons, and allow me to reiterate: TONS of pink! And not just baby girl girl, but hot, bright, vibrant, dang-this-girl-is-a-lady-PINK.

I was so excited to talk to Anna about my vintage shoe collection and to dress her up in some of my fav pink pieces from the collection. Can you guess what she took home?

Let Anna & I know what you think of her many looks by leaving a note in the comment board or shooting me a line over email.

Want your own Sammy D Vintage shopping experience? Shout me a holler to book one now! March is filling up fast … and I’ll have to make another Trader Joe’s wine run! ;-)

Anna loved the print, but thought this looked like a nightie on her. LOL!

We added the gold belt and voila! This dress was the perfect fit on Anna’s fit bod! [check out her hot legs!]

“I LOVE TULLE!” She screamed upon trying on this late 90s Betsey Johnson dress

The cut of this 80s piece balanced out Anna’s strong frame in a delicately feminine way

This 50s cut dress [with pockets!] fit Anna like a GEM – except for the back, not seen here, that just wouldn’t button all the way. Boo!

Another delightful number on Anna that was just a bit too snug in the hips. Don’t you just hate when that happens?

If only this were pink! I had to throw some sequins on Anna … as I think you all know by now, I’m a crazy sucker for sequins!

Have we NOT talked about shoes yet?! These all-sequin-and-lace 60s pumps were found in the closet of a friend’s grandmother in Lancaster, PA. Did Anna — self-proclaimed shoenista – take them home to her new pad in Queens?

…. leave a comment now and let Anna & I know what pieces you think looked best on her, and which ones were worth the SDV investment! I’ll let you know in the comment board by end of week what *two* pieces she ended up buying from SDV!
