Great article and really informative! I loved all the pictures. It was especially interesting seeing the advertisements of the period alongside actual vintage clothing.
One thing though, gaberdine is actually the name of the weave not the content of the fabric.

I love 30’s, 40’s and 50’s fashion. I was lucky to grow up in a situation where I was able to get lots of first hand advice from my mom and grandmothers regarding the fashions as they knew them.

Your article tickled a lot of old memory cells for me!
