Here’s another to add to the list. Not exactly about vintage, but definitely related. I found out about this one at a vintage refab talk I did and HAVE to have it! For research purposes of course!

and for a fun look at owning a vintage store, you can’t beat Alligators, Old Mink, and New Money by Alison Hoote. I promise, reading this great book is ALMOST as much fun as finding a great vintage treasure at your local thrift!

Such a fantastic list – I was thinking about creating a similar one for my own vintage series, but you beat me to it! I would add the following book: Vintage Hats & Bonnets 1770-1970 Second Edition by Susan Langley.It’s an in-depth exploration of vintage headwear and a must read for collectors and admirers of vintage hats (as I am.) Of all your recommendations, I am especially fond of New York Fashion – The Evolution of American Style. I bought it for $20 used from Amazon and refer to it all the time!
