Sammy D TV // Episode 19 Part 1 // Real Food Reality from Sammy Davis on Vimeo.

Thanks to eating only REAL FOODS, my weight/energy/general happiness is at an all-time high.

Some examples of what I eat now, that I never used to eat before getting turned on to REAL versus FAKE?

1.) Avocados
2.) Organic Peanut Butter
3.) Cliff Bars
4.) Olive Oil
5.) Almonds

Happy eating!

Sammy D TV // Episode 19 Part II // The Health Benefits of Saying NO! from Sammy Davis on Vimeo.

I’m a sucker for saying YES.

Saying no is more difficult than even taking risks — because you’ve been asked by an external person from you to add value by participating in a requested activity.

When someone WANTS you, you think you gotta say yes, right? They’re showing you attention and essentially saying you are valuable to them through their request.

But it is in saying NO that you are proving your value. Because you are only as valuable as you allow yourself to be.

Be valuable today — say no to something you don’t really want to do.

Sammy D TV // Episode 19 Part III // Why Taking Risks Rocks from Sammy Davis on Vimeo.

I’m not sure why we call them “risks,” — it’s a negative connotation that might as well be directly linked to a “gamble” in life, where you aren’t sure of the outcome and it leans slightly negative.

NOT TRUE!

Taking risks is nothing but positive: When you don’t take the risk, you aren’t reaching out for what you deserve and want in life.

Take a risk every week, and you’ll begin to shape the life you only thought was for the “lucky” people.

  1. Love it!!!

And I would like to add to the “real food” video that eating real food doesn’t mean that you can’t eat things like muffins or dessert or bread; it’s just a matter of picking the “real” ones (so not the ones that come wrapped in plastic at the 7-11). So get that whole grain bread from the baker at the farmer’s market (or better yet, make it yourself). Or find an easy recipe for whole grain blueberry muffins made with whole wheat, grains, fresh in-season berries, and coconut or olive oil. Dessert can be in season fruit topped with (my favorite) loosely whipped cream (you don’t even have to sweeten it!), grilled peaches, poached dried fruit, compotes made out of whatever you find at the farmer’s market.

(Also, banana blended with avocado and cocoa makes for a yummy pudding, believe it or not! And pureed frozen bananas taste like ice cream!)
