Sammy Davis Vintage is a vintage fashion media company seeking passionate and entrepreneurial social media interns to start ASAP for a summer internship from May through August. This is an unpaid position.
Accepted applicants will be given boundless opportunity to use their passion for fashion to help Sammy Davis Vintage grow its audience and in the process learn everything about the business of fashion blogging so that they can build their own personal niche on the web.
NECESSARY SKILLS TO APPLY
*Social media savvy, including but not limited to: WordPress/Blogspot/Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, DailyBooth, Flickr, etc.
*Actively updates a style/fashion/culture-oriented blog
*Maintains a Twitter and/or Facebook fan page account for personal or blog use
*Familiarity with WordPress functionality
RESPONSIBILITIES
*Social media support for blog posts & video releases
INCLUDES: Promotion through Sammy Davis Vintage social media outlets and interns’ own initiatives, including but not limited to commenting on other blogs, posting on Facebook fan pages and YouTube channels, interaction with Etsy community and using BuzzFeed and StumbleUpon for viral push
*Video & photo shoot production support
INCLUDES: Working on set to assist with production of videos for YouTube series and photoshoot for style posts. Lend creative support for styling of outfits and location choices for fashion shoots.
*Fashion research
INCLUDES: Working with Sammy Davis Vintage on research for blog posts and video scripts. Contributing reporter byline will be hyperlinked to intern’s blog.
*Event attendance
INCLUDES: Attendance to networking opportunities within fashion community with or on behalf of Sammy Davis Vintage. Attendance to brand press events & parties with or on behalf of Sammy Davis Vintage.
