Hello and happy Royal Wedding Friday EVERYONE!
I’m doing a quick post to share the excitement of today’s beautiful day in wedding, fashion & cultural history. Kate Middleton has wed Prince William … and she wore a dress designed by Sarah Burton, the creative director of Alexander McQueen!
I was led to believe that Sophie Cranston was the top secret designer of Kate’s dress. But I — and others in the media — were WRONG!
No worries, though! Because as I’m sure you agree, the end result is gorgeous and perfect for Kate. It’s even more perfect because the dress uncannily resembles that of Princess Grace Kelly’s (see image above!)
Keep reading after the jump to see more pictures of Kate’s dress, as found on the site CTA.ca. And enjoy your festivities and celebration of love & life today!
Were you able to tune into the wedding in real time this morning? What do you think of Kate’s dress? Are you inspired to get married yet?! I know I am!
I’d love to hear your thoughts — and the fun things you did today to celebrate the event — in the comments below!
I’m at the Manhattan Vintage Show all day … checking out over 90 vendors of vintage fashion and filming a new episode for Sammy Davis Vintage on YouTube.
After seeing Kate’s wedding dress today, I think I will be inspired to channel Grace Kelly for my spring/summer formal events …. !
with vintage love!
