On Wednesday, July 17th I hosted a networking and instructional event, “SEO for Etsy Sellers,” at the Etsy Labs in Dumbo, Brooklyn. The event was attended by 17 members of the NYC Vintage Sellers Team on Etsy, which I co-founded with Simone Hines of Erstwhile Style. Thank you to Etsy for providing event space and to Diane Dulgerian Photography for snapping pictures of the instruction and socializing!
An Etsy shop can’t be “found” unless it’s SEO-optimized. SEO is writing your shop description, about page, titles, listing descriptions and more so that they include the best keywords allowing for the greatest amount of potential eyeballs landing on your listings and exploring your shop to see what else you have for sale. An SEO-optimized shop attracts customers without tweeting, Facebooking, Instagramming having to send a single smoke signal about it.
The vintage industry has taught me those lessons in life I never anticipated needing to learn and when the time was necessary, re-learn once again. I hope I do these lessons justice, and that one (or all three) resonate with you, whether you’re a vintage buyer, seller or evangelist of #vintagelove like me.
Hello and happy FRIDAY vintage lovers!!!! Wow, I can’t believe it’s Friday AGAIN. Doesn’t it just feel like it was…
