Thrifting Finds @ The Village Thrift in Laurel, Maryland

by Sammy 1 Comment

I spent the past weekend having an amazing musically charged time with three of my best NYC girlfriends at the Virgin Mobile Freefest at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.

We saw acts like Yeasayer [our new musician crushes — so cute!], Matt & Kim [also so cute, but in an entirely different way], Joan Jett [THE legend!], DJs and good-time-music-set Chromeo, slow & steady Temper Trap, new radio darlings Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Heroes, down & dirty & danceable Ludacris, M.I.A., LCD Soundsystem, Sleigh Bells andddd …. MORE! In total, we saw 12 acts in one day. Talk about getting your money’s worth!

Our weekend away from the city was made even more memorable when we learned thanks to some handy YELPing that the “Best Thrift Store Ever” was nearby to our hotel in little ole’ Laurel, Maryland. So what did three fashion-forward ladies from NYC do on their Sunday afternoon before hitting up 95-N traffic for the nearly 5 hour trek back home?

Do I even need to answer that question? :-) See some of my thrift store try-ons below! What do you like most? Leave me a comment or a note on facebook!

Happy Monday thrifters!

xx, SD
