What To Do With Old Jeans? Here Are Three Options!

What To Do With Old Jeans? Here Are Three Options!

by Bonnie 1 Comment

Do you love the idea of vintage jeans, and feel frustrated when they don’t fit? Do you often find jeans that are close to perfect, but missing that special something?

Sometimes, vintage jeans are tempting to buy because you love the wash, the label, or way they feel against your skin. At the same time, you hate another aspect like the boring cut or the classic color. Here are three options for breathing new life into old jeans. You can even use these with your own jeans that have gone a bit stale!

1. Make A Stylish Skirt

A long maxi skirt is a great way to go! You could also try out another length, like a cute mini. Use some printed cotton fabrics in the mid section of the skirt for a perfect patchwork look.

2. Turn Them Into Long Shorts

I love how Kilee of One Little Momma turned a pair of jeans into modest cut-offs. Who says cut-offs have to be super short?

3. Give Them A Pretty Pattern

Give old jeans a fresh look by dip-bleaching the bottoms and then coloring on a cool design. You could use colored fabric pens or a black sharpie! You won’t pass over this pair of jeans the next time you are looking for a fun outfit!

The next time a pair of old jeans catches your eye, think about what else you could do with them! Would they make a great skirt or shorts? How would they look with a funky print around the ankles?

Vintage jeans that have a great feel can be transformed into something new. And the jeans that have been sitting in your closet for years might get a chance to come out and play! I hope these three ideas have given you some new options for your worn out denim. Do you have any other ideas to put on the list? Let me know in the comments below!
